Unclutter Your Desktop

Do you have a gazillion icons on your Windows desktop? Are they hiding a beautiful wallpaper picture? Here's an idea that unclutters your desktop and makes it easier to find programs.

Create folders for all your desktop icons, or shortcuts. You might name one "Games", for example, and move all the icons for your games there. Another folder could be named "Microsoft", and you could move all the icons for your Office programs there.

To implement this organizational scheme, right-click anywhere on the desktop and choose New > Folder. Name your folder. Then all you have to do is drag and drop the appropriate icons into that folder.
