Alternate Internet Browsers

If Internet Explorer becomes corrupted because of a virus or some other problem, how do you access the internet?

You wouldn't be able to go online to find a way to fix it, or to download another internet browser to use in Internet Explorer's place. So, it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and download a second or even third internet browser now so that if something does go wrong with your internet browser of choice, you'll have another browser you can use at least temporarily.

Another good reason to have more than one browser installed on your computer is this: When you run into a website that doesn't function in one browser, try switching to the other browser.

We recommend that you have Internet Explorer 7 and the latest edition of Firefox installed. You might even want to install Netscape or Opera as well. Internet Explorer 7 comes with Windows, and the latest version can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. Firefox and Netscape are also free downloads from their respective websites.
