Copy and Paste Without the Crap

Are you frustrated by attempts to copy and paste text from web pages into another program? Not only do you get the text, but you get all the formatting and other crap that's on the original page. There are three ways to dump the crap.

  1. Paste the text into Notepad (Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad).
  2. If copying into a Microsoft program such as Word, use Paste > Special and select "Unformatted Text", rather than just pasting the text or hitting CTRL + V.
  3. Download and install PureText.
